Stepped into a newly created role to develop and lead outreach and engagement activities to drive revenue and growth. Led a digital transformation to enhance collaboration, achieve efficiencies and modernize processes. 

 

Developed and executed strategies to re-imagine the business model in response to the pandemic, including new products and revenue streams. Created a go-to-market strategy with an account-based approach to increase cross-sales opportunities, resulting in a $200k increase in non-dues revenue. Crafted and executed the communications strategy and integrated marketing campaigns to ensure results, including:

 

  • $230k increase in non-dues revenue (affinity programs, podcast, sponsorships)

  • Double digit growth in audience engagement 

    • 107% spike in social media engagement

    • 43% boost in podcast downloads, earning it a spot on the top 5% of podcasts

    • 22% uptick in weekly webinar registrations

  • 29% ($46k) increase in directory revenue YoY

Leveraged 15+ years of experience to help clients successfully meet their goals, including providing project management, strategic planning, event marketing, membership marketing, corporate communications, writing and editing, event planning, social media, association management, and volunteer management and engagement.

 

For example, for a small B2C business, wins included:

  • Increased social media audience by 60%, resulting in 280% monthly engagements and 100% monthly reach (paid and organic).

  • Achieved 6% YoY revenue growth. 

  • Developed and executed integrated marketing strategies to increase walk-in business; customer loyalty, engagement, and referrals; and brand consistency.

Consultant/Dir of Marketing/Sr Dir of Marketing/VP of Marketing, ISSA

Earned a series of promotions over three years while the organization underwent tremendous growth, including 14 mergers and acquisitions. Served as inspirational mentor, leader and coach to a team of 11 direct and in-direct reports as well as designers, copywriters and agencies ensuring the right people were in the right positions to achieve results for 8 internal clients and 4 sister organizations across 5 regions (North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, EMEA and Oceania). 

 

  • Initiated review and overhaul of the current vendors, tools and agencies to ensure best-in-class practices and services for internal and external clients.

  • Spearheaded campaigns that resulted in more than 1 million impressions and 630+ conversions through SEM, re-targeting and other digital tactics.

  • Achieved 10% YoY increase in attendance and 7% increase in exhibit sales for the
    association’s largest event.

  • Expanded content marketing tactics to uncover lead sources, in one case, increasing
    leads by 2,000 in 6 months.

  • Achieved 794% increase in reach and conversions through paid and organic social media campaigns.

  • Increased SEO efforts spiked website stats; one division's site saw 12.6% increase in average time on page and 7.4% increase in average session duration YoY.

Communications Specialist, Association of University Technology Managers (The Sherwood Group)

Collaborated with marketing manager to meet the communications objectives of The Sherwood Group’s largest client (Association of University Technology Managers), including acting as staff liaison to volunteer committees, ensuring projects stayed on deadline and budget, as well as monitoring and updating web and social media content. In addition, served as managing editor for two of its signature publications, shepherding them from content development through design and distribution:

 

  • Built a stable of freelance writers, edited content, developed production schedules, secured artwork and permissions, and supervised the design and production process.

  • Established processes, SOPs and toolkits to help increase story submissions by 200%.

  • Led the transition from a print publication to digital, reaching a goal of 500 published stories.
