    • Achieved 41% increase in annual conference registrations YoY at 12 weeks out.*

    • Sponsorship revenue saw an uptick of 3.6% YoY at 12 weeks out.*

    • Drove 107% spike in social media engagement (primarily on LinkedIn).

    • Overall association annual revenue increased 24% YoY.

    • Produced, hosted and grew Talking Industrial Automation podcast (downloads increased 43% YoY).

Leverage more than 15+ years of experience to help clients successfully meet their goals, including providing project management, strategic planning, event marketing, membership marketing, corporate communications, writing and editing, event planning, social media, association management, volunteer management and engagement, and staff transitions and onboarding. Available on a contract or project basis.

For example, for a small B2C business, wins included:

  • Increased social media audience by 60%, resulting in 280% monthly engagements, and 100% monthly reach (paid and organic).

  • Achieved 6% year-over-year revenue growth.

  • Developed and executed strategies to increase walk-in business; customer loyalty, engagement, and referrals; and brand consistency.

Consultant/Dir of Marketing/Sr Dir of Marketing/VP of Marketing, ISSA

Over the course of three years, earned a series of promotions while the organization underwent tremendous growth, including 14 mergers and acquisitions. More specifically: 

  • Served as inspirational mentor, leader and coach to a team of 11 direct and in-direct reports as well as designers, copywriters and agencies ensuring the right people were in the right positions to achieve results for 8 internal clients and 4 sister organizations across 5 regions (North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, EMEA and Oceania).

  • Orchestrated the digital transformation of the marketing department by creating a digital strategy team to provide integrated marketing solutions and analytic tools for internal clients.

  • Initiated review and overhaul of the current vendors, tools and agencies to ensure best-in-class practices and services for internal and external clients.

  • Spearheaded campaigns that resulted in more than 1 million impressions and 630+ conversions through SEM, retargeting and other digital tactics.

  • Achieved 10% year-over-year increase in attendance and 7% increase in exhibit sales for the largest event.

  • Expanded content marketing tactics to uncover lead sources, in one case, increasing leads by 2,000 in 6 months.

  • Achieved 794% increase in the reach and conversions through paid and organic social media campaigns.

  • Launched an Australian trade show achieving $300k revenue in first year.


Brought on initially in 2011 while ISSA underwent a major rebrand, I served as a marketing consultant before coming on board full time in 2015. Work included project management, content creation, campaign development and managing freelancers.

Communications Specialist (Independent Contractor), The Sherwood Group Inc.

Collaborated with marketing manager to meet the communications objectives of the association client, including acting as staff liaison coordinating headquarters activities with volunteer committees, ensuring projects stayed on deadline and budget, as well as monitoring and updating web and social media content. In addition, served as managing editor for two of its signature publications, shepherding them from content development through design and distribution, including 

  • Building a stable of freelance writers, editing content, developing production schedules, securing artwork and permissions, and supervising the design and production process.

  • Establishing processes, SOPs, and toolkits to help client increase story submissions by 200%.

  • Overseeing the transition from a print publication to an online database, where the client reached its goal of 500 published stories.

Communications Consultant, Richter Communications

Provided public relations, marketing and corporate communication solutions to B2B clients, in a variety of industries (specializing in non-profits). Services included project management, editorial support and communication strategy. 

Some examples:

  • Supplemented marketing team undergoing a rebrand.

  • Wrote and edited books in the healthcare design and technology transfer fields.

  • Crafted press releases for the real estate, consumer appliances and trade show industries.

  • Developed content strategies for newsletters and publications.

Communications Manager, The Sherwood Group Inc.

Responsible for the editorial and production of client magazines, journals and newsletters, including writing features and department articles and light design work. Also spearheaded the production of numerous marketing and outreach collateral pieces, such as directories, conference programs and brochures.

  • First-place award from the National Interfraternity Foundation Publications Awards for writing “Should Women’s Fraternities Go Co-ed?” Alpha Phi Quarterly

  • First-place EXCEL award from the Society of National Association Publications in the Newsletters: Most Improved category for the Law Marketing Exchange
